In June Kogod faculty members participated in the 2007 Marketing and Public Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. The conference was led by the American Marketing Association, and co-chaired by Kogod faculty Sonya A. Grier, Manoj Hastak, and Jack Swasy.
During the conference, Kogod Professor Gary Ford received the prestigious Thomas C. Kinnear/Journal of Public Policy & Marketing Award. Ford received this award in response to his article titled, "The Impact of the Daubert Decision on Survey Research Used in Litigation," which appeared in the fall 2005 (Volume 24, Issue 2) issue of Journal of Public Policy & Marketing. Professor Ford is the third Kogod marketing department faculty member to receive this honor.
Prior to the Marketing and Public Policy Conference, Kogod held a pre-conference workshop which focused on emerging developments in social marketing. Leading researchers presented recent research and discussed the relevance of social marketing issues to public policy.
