About Shawn Janzen

He is an information scientist specializing in information behavior, data analytics, cybersecurity, and technology policy. His research explores how leadership decisions shape organizational behavior and how information is shared and integrated into institutional knowledge. He focuses on disruptive technologies, cybersecurity, ethics, and public policy and aims to make data analytics education more inclusive. 

Previously, he was a researcher at the Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS), leading projects on IT assessment and cognitive security for the U.S. Department of Defense. His professional background includes roles with the U.S. Peace Corps, the European Parliament, and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
