Meet MBA@American student Alyssa Steinmann. As a senior account executive at global advertising agency MRM//McCann, Alyssa manages relationships with internal teams and upholds quality standards for clients. She hopes to use her newly acquired management skills to switch to the nonprofit sector and become a digital marketing manager.

After reading about the program, I was instantly attracted to the way American University recruits a diverse student body.
At first, I was apprehensive that working full time and being in graduate school part time would be incredibly challenging, but the Business@American online platform made it very possible to acclimate to that life adjustment. The functionality of the program platform is streamlined, easy to navigate, and digestible, and it allows students to enjoy the freedom and flexibility to independently manage course deadlines based on personal and professional responsibilities.
Although I had never taken an online class prior to this program, I am having an incredible experience thus far. I enjoy the Business@American online platform and recommend this program to anybody interested in pursuing an online graduate degree.
To date, I am almost halfway finished with the MBA program, and I can confidently say that I am continuously learning and growing. I am applying statistical data learnings to my professional daily responsibilities and understanding the ins and outs of human capital and managing teams. I certainly feel that I am on the right track to advancing my professional career.
I am currently a senior account executive at a global advertising agency called MRM//McCann. One of my core responsibilities is to ensure that internal agency teams properly uphold all quality standards as set forth by the client. I manage relationships with internal agency teams across the business and work to ensure that all brand requirements are met prior to launching advertising campaigns across core markets. In addition, I have worked in global marketing and branding at the NYSE Euronext and the global integrated advertising agency Havas Worldwide.
Once I finish my MBA program, my goal is to advance my career by becoming a digital marketing manager for a not-for-profit organization.
