Leveling the Financial Playing Field

When designing programs to provide financial aid to people in need, it’s vital to keep different needs and experiences in mind. A one-size-fits-all approach often doesn’t account for how factors such as race, background, and financial security influence people’s access to supportive programs. Through her research, Kogod School of Business professor of finance and real estate Kimberly Luchtenberg aims to shine a light on these disparities and to better understand issues of equity and inclusion in banking and housing.

“I’ve always been interested in these topics,” Luchtenberg said.
