A business career often hinges on understanding and communicating meaningfully with coworkers, customers, and partners. Strong interpersonal skills are a significant key to success in such a social field, and building those skills is a critical component of a good business education. One of Kogod’s newest management professors, Hayley Blunden, understands this personally, as she has devoted much of her career to researching workplace interactions and what makes them work.

“When I think about what makes up an organization, I think of a group of interpersonal relationships, and the building blocks of those relationships are interactions,” Professor Blunden said.
