The Kogod School of Business at American University has earned a place among the world’s most sustainability-driven business schools — ranking No. 3 in the US and No. 5 globally in the 2025 Corporate Knights Better World MBA Ranking. Kogod’s remarkable leap from No. 12 in 2024 reflects more than academic rigor — it reflects a decade-long dedication to redefining business education for a changing world.
“It’s about embedding sustainability into the DNA of how organizations function,” said Nicole Darnall, the Robert P. and Arlene R. Kogod Eminent Scholar Chair in Sustainability, a position she holds between Kogod and AU's School of Public Affairs.
