Published annually by Corporate Knights, the Better World MBA Ranking identifies MBA programs that most effectively prepare graduates to address urgent social, environmental, and economic challenges. In 2025, Corporate Knights evaluated 179 MBA programs across 12 countries, scoring them on:
- the extent to which sustainability is embedded in core MBA coursework (90% of the score); and
- the impact of alumni careers in sustainability-focused roles (10% of the score).

Using AI to Solve Sustainability Challenges: Kogod's Partnership with Xylem, Inc.
Kogod’s embrace of AI is driven by the belief that AI can help businesses make smarter, faster, and more equitable decisions—enabling greater progress toward sustainable business objectives. In collaboration with Xylem Inc., a Fortune 500 global water technology company, students participating in Kogod’s annual case competition analyzed how AI can be leveraged to improve water management systems, increase operational efficiency, and reduce environmental impact. Students assessed how AI tools could enhance early flood detection, optimize energy usage in water treatment facilities, and inform investment decisions for sustainable infrastructure. The case competition with Xylem reflects Kogod’s growing focus on using AI strategically for good, preparing MBA graduates to harness emerging technologies in service of building a more sustainable world through business.
