Why major in business, language, and culture at Kogod?
Interdisciplinary Curriculum
As a student, you will choose a language track when entering the program: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, or Swahili. By the time you graduate, you'll speak that language comfortably in a professional setting. In addition to business foundations, the major also includes courses to strengthen your understanding of other cultures, including anthropology and economics.
Ideal Location
Washington, DC, is a global political center and a major hub for international business and diplomacy. Tap into DC's many networking and internship opportunities, and take advantage of its thriving cultural life to take your education beyond campus. Whether you're interested in the private sector, government, or the nonprofit world, you'll find paths towards your future success.
Language and Cultural Immersion
Learning a language in the classroom can only take you so far—you need to experience living it in the real world. That's why you'll spend a semester abroad taking courses in your language track. This experience will increase your proficiency, teach you how to adapt to new environments, and make you stand out in front of employers.
