Arthur Stallworth (he/him/his) has a dynamic background in higher education. He has earned a Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Interdisciplinary Leadership, Masters of Biomedical Sciences (MS), and Bachelors of Arts in Psychology (BA) all from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. He views himself as a scientist at heart and believes the scientific method can be used in all fields to garner novel ideas and results. He has made it his goal to help eliminate barriers to higher education for all those that want to take part in expanding their knowledge. He has done so by being a part of grants that address the paucity of unrepresented students in the health sciences to serving as an advisor for students of all ages, creeds, and backgrounds.
Dr. Parna Banerjee is the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Advising at the Kogod School of Business. Her career includes employment at Johns Hopkins University, 2U, and The University of Georgia, just to name a few. Her career in higher education began during her undergraduate experience, where she served as an RA, and quickly found a passion in working with students, ensuring their success academically and personally. She has consistently been recognized for her student-first approach by her peers, and her extraordinary commitment to go above and beyond in her work. No task is too big or too small. Outside of work, you can find Parna making her way through her never-ending TBR stack, planning her next international trip, taking improv classes, and cooking.
Sam (she/her/hers) joined Kogod in June 2022 as the Senior Administrative Assistant for the Office of Undergraduate Programs and as of April 2024 is an Academic Advisor. Prior to those roles, Sam worked as an Office Assistant for an academic affairs office at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2021.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys being outdoors, watching sports, and visiting family and friends in Minnesota and South Carolina.
Meredith Vaughn (she, her, hers) is an Academic Advisor for undergraduate students in the Kogod School of Business. She previously worked with American University Housing and Residence Life from July 2016 to September 2018. Meredith earned her Masters in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education at UNC-Greensboro (UNCG), and her Bachelors in History at UNCG. Prior to coming to American University Meredith worked at UNC-Wilmington, Belmont University, UNCG, and completed the Disney College Program.
Tessa (she/her/hers) is an Academic Advisor for the Kogod School of Business. Following her undergraduate studies at Meredith, she worked as an Events and Marketing Coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Career Services. While obtaining her Masters in Higher Education Administration at North Carolina State University, she held graduate assistantships at NC State Student Centers and the College of Education Student Services and Advising Center and worked as an Academic and Career Advising Assistant at William Peace University.
JJ White (they/them/theirs) is the senior administrative assistant for the Kogod School of Business Undergraduate Program team. They hold degrees from Stonehill College in political science and international relations, complemented by a dual language degree in French and Spanish, a minor in Arabic, and extensive experience in student mentoring and DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) roles. With a strong commitment to advancing peer and social equity, JJ is dedicated to ensuring that all voices are heard and that every individual has access to education, thoughtful discourse, and self-expression.
