Students can complete the online MS in accounting in as little as 12 months when taking a full-time course load but can choose their own pace of enrollment to fit their professional and personal lives. Within that period, students can satisfy the 150-hour CPA licensure requirement and become eligible to sit for the exam.
Courses will consist of 1.5 hours of live instruction, roughly one hour of asynchronous education, and five hours of outside coursework, all taught by expert faculty, including former Congressional accountants and consultants and a current member of the AICPA CPA Exam Financial Accounting and Reporting Subcommittee.
“A combination of pre-recorded videos and live online sessions provides the benefits of both flexibility and face-to-face interactions with faculty,” says Zhang. “All classes will be offered during evenings, so students can keep their full-time jobs while taking classes to get a master’s degree in accounting, as well as a sought-after certificate in taxation or forensic accounting.”
Kogod’s online programs are specifically meant for students who have obligations outside of the classroom and want to immediately put what they’re learning into practice.
