Professor Frank DuBois was Interviewed by Kelley Blue Book.

Professor Dubois was featured in "Study: Tesla Makes the Most ‘American’ Cars."

The article covered Kogod's annual 'Made in America' Auto Index, its results, and the global nature of the automotive industry.

  • In the study, both United States and Canadian parts count as domestic content, since the US government does not differentiate between the two.
  • The automotive industry is highly global with nations sourcing parts from each other, meaning that tariffs such as the ones proposed by Donald Trump would complicate the industry and likely drive up prices.
  • Policies such as NAFTA and the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act have caused automotive makers to shift production in order to balance regulations with the cost of building cars.

Professor DuBois said of President Trump's tariff threats: “Automotive executives like to see stability in trade relationships with our major trade partners. We’re going to see a period of real instability."
